Agatha Christie visited the Nile in 1933 and her trip on a cruise boat is widely believed to have been inspiration for her book, Death on the Nile. And if you fancy following in her footsteps then the actual boat she travelled on, SS Sudan, is still plying the Nile waters today. One of the oldest vessels still in use was built in 1918 in Preston for the Royal Navy and one of the newest vessels was built in 2021.
