The Garden Route is a route 191 miles long stretching from Witsand in the Western Cape to the border of the evocatively named Tsitsikamma Storms river in the Eastern Cape. It is a popular and scenic stretch of coast that is world renowned for its national parks, dense forests, placid lakes and some of the most outrageously beautiful beaches anywhere in the world.

Why not visit the Knysna Elephant Park in Western Cape and get up close and personal with an Elephant? Spend a night in their luxury Nature lodge knowing the elephants are asleep in their own quarters next door. 

There are plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with marine life and animals large and small throughout the length of the route.

All along the route there are adventures, zipwires, kayaking, river rafting and even tandem skydiving just waiting for you to experience.

Wilderness beach has a reputation for the being the most scenic and beautiful of all the beaches along the Garden Route, but Victoria Bay also gets many votes and the competition is very fierce to be crowned the best. Others would argue for Plettenberg Bay beach or Buffalo Bay. There really is only one way to decide. Visit them for yourself and make your own mind up.
