Tanzania – Beaches, Serengeti, Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro
Tanzania is one of those countries that when you hear about it, it just grabs hold of your imagination and runs riot with it. The birthplace of Freddie Mercury, Tanzania is a hidden gem that won’t stay that way for long. Once the word is out there it will be on many peoples bucket list to visit.
There are so many sights to see, experiences to be had, and adventures to be witnessed, that Tanzania is never going to be your average holiday. The vibe is laid back enjoyment. Like a fine wine Tanzania is to be sipped, savoured and enjoyed, either on your own, or as part of a larger like-minded group.
Home to the Serengeti where you can view the annual great wildebeest migration and the world’s tallest singularly standing mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, Tanzania takes these iconic experiences and adds to them some of the most beautiful beaches that you will find anywhere. Tanzania is famous for its adventures, art, culture, nature, wildlife, beaches and water activities. It is very easy to get around the country and therefore very easy to combine any one or more of these elements together in a once in a lifetime holiday.
The island of Zanzibar is home to Stone Town, the older part of Zanzibar city, and is a melting pot of Arab, European, Indian and Persian influences which was enough for the city to be awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. The narrow maze-like streets allowing only foot traffic, are home to markets, shops, bazaars and mosques giving travellers a true glimpse into life of a bygone era.
