Tanzania – The beaches you always wanted to lie on 

If there was a competition to find the world’s most beautiful beach then Tanzania would have a number of possible contenders. 

On the Island of Zanzibar why not visit Nungwi beach. A bit more touristy but home to some world class hotels, shops and restaurants. Kendwa beach is considered to be the best beach not only on Zanzibar but also in Tanzania as a whole and is ideal for all those beach type activities such as swimming or snorkelling or diving. Or if you fancy doing nothing more than topping up your tan then sunbathing here is something that won’t disappoint. 

For a more secluded beach then why not visit Ushongo beach on the mainland. It offers pristine beaches of sand, often deserted, backed with palm trees should you need that all important shelter from the midday sun.

Not quite a beach but also worth a visit is Maziwe Island a protected marine reserve. It is the oldest Marine reserve in Tanzania and is renowned for its healthy coral reef and beautiful sandbar.
