Uganda- The Pearl of Africa
Unique Uganda
Uganda is a landlocked country that was known as the “pearl of Africa” by Winston Churchill. It is a diverse and beautiful destination that offers wildlife, culture, adventure and nature.
Probably the most famous residents of Uganda are the Mountain Gorillas. One of the most amazing experiences you can have is to track the gorillas in their natural habitat with your local guides.
Uganda is home to more than half the remaining Mountain Gorillas on earth and preservation of their environment is hugely important. 15% of the countries land mass is governed and protected under The Wildlife Act and National Wildlife Policy which works with the tourist industry so that future explorers and adventurers (that's you), will continue to enjoy the beauty of this country in the future.
You can visit the town of Jinja, where the Nile flows out of Lake Victoria, and enjoy a variety of activities on and around the river. You can raft some of the best white-water rapids in Africa or just marvel at the scenic beauty of the locale.

Be your very own David Attenborough
The stars of Gorillas in the Mist are none other but the mountain gorillas of Uganda. Also known as silverback gorillas, because of the silver hair on their backs, they are one of the most endangered animals in the world, with only about 900 of them left in the wild. More than half of that number live in Uganda in the dense forests of Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
To see them, you need to join a gorilla trekking tour, which involves hiking through the forest with a guide and a small group of other visitors. You need to book a gorilla permit in advance, which costs $700 per person. The permit allows you to spend one hour with a habituated gorilla family, observing their behavior and taking photos.
Gorilla trekking is an amazing and unforgettable experience that also supports the conservation of these magnificent animals.
