Holidays in Malaysia
Beautiful coastline, tropical islands, and lush green rainforests
Malaysia is a country of contrasts, where different languages and cultures fuse and merge to create a unique Southeast Asian nation that’s quite unlike any other place you will have travelled to. It is home to tropical islands where you can dive into the warm South China sea and snorkel with diverse sea life. This was the first place my daughter ever snorkelled and, at the age of 6, she was lucky enough to spot an enormous sting ray. Something we will never forget.
You must explore Kuala Lumpur; a skyline punctuated by minarets, Mogul-style domes and skyscrapers. Where the delicious smells of the colourful stall lined streets tantalise your senses and you can sample the most delicious street food while being shaded by the sprawling leafiness of a Banyan tree.
Spend time in the lush green equatorial rainforest; rich with wildlife which remain intact, thanks to the protection of the National Parks where, if you’re lucky enough, you can spot a foraging Tapir or even an Orangutan swinging through the canopy.

There is no singular best time to visit Malaysia because depending on where you visit, there are different local climates. Broadly speaking however, there are two climates: dry and hot or wet and hot! The only place it might feel cool is in the Cameron Highlands where the temperatures can range from 14c to 24c and is a stunningly beautiful place to hike through before relaxing over a few well deserved bottles of ice cold Angkor beer!
