Amazing holidays in The Philippines

Wildlife, culture, and a vibrant nightlife

The Philippines is a beautiful country with more than 7,000 islands......islands that dazzle your senses and make you feel alive whether you are scuba diving, snorkelling, sailing or exploring on land.  There is so much wildlife to see, that trying to work out where to start can seem daunting.  Just a flavour of what you can see:  The Philippine tarsier is the smallest primate in the world and one of the oldest mammals on Earth.  It lives in the islands of Bohol, Samar, Leyte and Mindanao.  The whale shark, the largest fish in the world and a gentle giant that feeds on plankton and is a awe inspiring sight, can be swum with in Donsol, Oslob or Ticao Island.  The Philippine forest turtle is a critically endangered turtle that is only found on the island of Palawan.  These are just the tip of the rainforest!

Some of the popular destinations include Boracay, a small island with white, sandy beaches and a vibrant nightlife.  Manila, the capital city with its colonial churches, museums and fabulous restaurants.  El Nido; a paradise for island hopping, snorkelling and kayaking.

The Philippines is also known for its friendly and hospitable people who will welcome you with their warm smiles and genuine kindness.  As for its cuisine?  It's delicious, rich, diverse, and extremely easy on the budget!  Perfect recipe if you ask me!  There are always plenty of both meat and vegetarian dishes to choose from whether you have opted for a formal restaurant, a relaxed local bistro or the fabulous street food.  The national dish of Adobo containing meat or chicken cooked in vinegar and soy sauce is mouth wateringly aromatic.  Lecho is a whole roasted small pig with crispy skin and deliciously juicy meat.  A particular favourite of mine is Torta.  It's an omelette that you can have with or without meat, but always contains potatoes and is beautifully spiced.

Are you ready to leap in but don't know where to begin?  Click below to send us an enquiry and will get straight back to you.  With access to over 400 suppliers, we can build the trip of a lifetime uniquely tailored to you.

There is so much to see and experience in The Philippines from volcanoes to waterfalls, from coral reefs to rice terraces.  You can immerse yourself in the history and culture of the country which has a unique blend of Asian and Hispanic influences.  Some of the historical sites such as Intramuros and Fort Santiago in Manila, Vigan and Banaue Rice Terraces in Ilocos and Corregidor Island in Cavite are fascinating and well worth adding at least one to your itinerary.

If you want an adrenaline rush, try cliff diving.  There are some pretty stunning locations where you can "enjoy" leaping or diving off cliffs ranging from 8 to 20 meters.  Personally, anything over a meter high will have me going in feet first and anything over 3 meters will have me offering to hold the bags and wait in the bar over there.....with a beer...and hiding behind my fingers!

You can climb mountains with challenging trails or trek through the rain forest.  We can always find and include the right guide for you on various parts of your trip.  The views are astounding and well worth the climb and it also means you really will have earned your end of day reward of a couple of ice cold San Miguel Pale Pilsens which happens to be the most popular beer in The Philippines.

Ready to create some memories?  With over 400 suppliers we can build you a really special trip creating a lifetime's worth of memories.  We will help you truly find your paradise.
